The model for this quadrant considers how customers “feel” about the vendor, combining perceived value for the price paid and confidence the users have in the vendor. Ranking in the upper right means KNIME is identified as a leader in overall credibility, with highly perceived confidence and value.

To generate this analysis, Dresner collects feedback via user surveys (using social media and crowdsourcing techniques to recruit its participants). This approach allows for data across geographies, functions, organization sizes, and industries — providing a more accurate view of market dynamics compared to other industry research approaches.
