RDKit Nodes Development Crash Course

RDKit Nodes Development Crash Course

Presented by: Manuel Schwarze, Novartis Institutes of BioMedical Research

Time: Friday, March 9, 2018, 9.00 - 12:30

This workshop targets software developers with backgrounds in ChemInformatics and Java, who think about participating in RDKit Nodes Development.

The RDKit Nodes are based on the open source RDKit and make functionality that exists natively in C++ available to KNIME workflows. An RDKit Nodes Wizard and an underlying development framework make it easy to create new nodes. We will take a close look how to use these tools, and create a new simple node together - step by step. It is recommended you have background knowledge in the development of KNIME nodes (KNIME is hosting a developers meeting on Tuesday), and with RDKit functionality. In order to be hands on in this course, all participants will need to have a KNIME 3.5 SDK installed on their laptops. Manuel can assist during the week (Monday to Thursday) with installation.

Important: Pre-registration is required. Please send an email to manuel.schwarze@novartis.com. The number of participants is limited to 6 people due to the interactive nature of the course, therefore first come, first served.
