While the KNIME team is working hard on putting the finishing touches on KNIME 2.5 (with many cool new features), we are happy to announce the fourth issue of the KNIME Newsletter, featuring an article from one of our KNIME partners who is using KNIME to perform customer sentiment analysis by applying (among other nodes) the KNIME text analytics plugin.

The first quarter, 2011, has been busy for KNIME. The 4th User Group Meeting was  undoubtedly the highlight. More than 130 attendees met in Zurich to see presentations about the productive use of KNIME in diverse application areas. Ten KNIME partners showed what they do with KNIME in our partner exhibition area. The demo of upcoming KNIME improvements raised a lot of interest. More details about new features will come in future publications of the KNIME Newsletter.

Welcome to the first KNIME Newsletter!

The KNIME community has grown quickly over the last few years. From a few hundred downloads of KNIME 1.0 in July 2006 there are now thousands of people around the world actively using KNIME. The KNIME Newsletter is our newest vehicle to support this growing community. Every quarter we will report on a particularly interesting application of KNIME in the real world and complement this with a series of tips and tricks around the practical usage of KNIME.
