Talk 1 : KNIME intro - building a Marketing ROI tool by Giovanni Marano is a Senior Director of Analytics at FanDuel
In the online Marketing environment, investments require constant monitoring of return, to derive strategic insights and optimize the spend. Knime offers a perfect platform to build and automate such processes. In this workflow we will show how to aggregate different simulated data sources to generate a simple calculator of the Return-On-Investment for a CRM campaign. We will go through the main concepts of the Marketing ROI and explain how they are implemented in Knime. The workflow contains basic data manipulation nodes and is intended for an entry-level audience.
Talk 2: Data Art, using KNIME by Sathyanaraya Raghavachary, Associate Professor of CS Practice at USC, Lost Angeles
Dataflow is a wonderful form of computation, as KNIME aptly demonstrates. Dataflow turns out to be a convenient, fun way to create mathematical art (aka procedural/generative art) as well. In this talk, I will discuss a handful of examples of using KNIME operators to produce artistic output.
