CheEMBLdb Connector Input fails

Member for

8 years 2 months Angus

Hi,

I'm trying to search ChEMBL with the Connector input node with a SMILES string (created via Marvin sketch) and am getting the following error message and the node fails.

Execute failed: org.knime.chem.types.SmilesAdapterCell cannot be cast to org.knime.core.data.def.StringCell

Any ideas how to rectify the error?

Thanks,
A

Me too - any help anywhere? I tried manipulating the smiles back to a string since the Chembl node suggested it would for some reason prefer a text cell - worked first time it ran (KNIME3.3), but not again after reset.

Thing is this is was in an old Workflow that used to be fine - something to do with incompatibiity in later versions? Connections to CHembl?- seems odd

Hang on - the trick to get the smiles cell back to a text cell (just string($yoursmiles$) in String manipulation node) does seem to work reliably in knime 3.3.1

All a bit odd though

Hi

I am getting the following error while executing CHEMBLdb connector input node.

ERROR ChEMBLdb Connector Input 0:51       Execute failed: org.knime.chem.types.SmilesAdapterCell cannot be cast to org.knime.core.data.def.StringCell

I don't know what is wrong with it. I am just a beginner in KNIME. Please tell me all steps to rectify it. I am using KNIME 3.5 on a mac.
