Join the next edition of Data Connect: UK live in Cambridge.
This event will be hosted in Hybrid mode.
Talk 1 - Data searching, analysis and reporting applications using KNIME at Vernalis by Dr Stephen Roughley, Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry & Cheminformatics
This talk will show a number of applications of KNIME to search public and in-house data at Vernalis, and provide templated reports for consumption both internally and with our external research collaboration partners. Examples will come from the fields of X-Ray Crystallography, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Chemistry. Uses cases will include automated instrument status monitoring, 2D spectrum analysis (HSQC), and chemical library design, synthesis and QC (LC-MS analysis), searching public data sources, and data curation.
Talk 2 - Applying KNIME in high-throughput screening campaigns by Dr Andrew Lim, Research Associate, The ALBORADA Drug Discovery Institute, University of Cambridge
This talk showcases how KNIME can be used in a high-throughput screening campaign which involves large data collection, merging and analysis across various instruments. Key points include data extraction from compound handling technologies, plate readers and efficient data collation from various instruments to enable data analysis.
