Pack a meet up in your suitcase!

Are you looking for inspiration for your holiday this year?

We’ve put together a few great destinations for this summer where you can combine rest & relaxation with learning, KNIMEing, and dining.

Zurich, Switzerland. After spending a week in a hut in the mountains most people are ready to head back to civilization. Schedule your holiday plans to allow time for the Zurich KNIME Users’ meetup on June 16. Big Data is the topic here and Claudio Riefolo, an independent consultant, will be talking about unlocking the power of big data with KNIME: how to perform market basket analysis. Networking time is a must on any holiday and the chance here to sample some great Swiss pizza! Find out more.  Or if you would like to get down to the nitty gritty of learning KNIME, we are holding KNIME User and Developer Training courses in Technopark, Zurich between June 15-18.

San Francisco, USA. We hope that both first-time visitors and serial Bay Area KNIME Users will enjoy the next course and meetup here, which cater especially to developers wanting to find out more about customizing and extending KNIME to suit their purposes even more exactly. Experience the high-tech air of the MicroTek offices at the one-day course on June 23book now via Eventbrite ‒ and the cool vibes of the Swissnex space for the meetup on June 24.

Berlin, Germany. If you want to get away from the beach and prefer a city tour, this cult capital has a lot to offer, including the chance to learn more about Text Mining at the next Berlin KNIME Users’ meetup on July 2 in the betahaus co-working space. Frank Dullweber from Boehringer Inhelheim will be discussing how extraction and visualization of important terms and co-occurences can reveal interesting insights and how the identification of important authors based on network mining of co-authors of PubMed articles support target discovery research. If the meetup gives you a taste for more, extend your stay or come back to Berlin for the one-day course in Text Mining on July 14. Register here through Eventbrite.

Milano, Italy. The first of two 1-day courses introducing people to data mining with KNIME will be held on July 7 in Copernico in Milan. (The second is in London one week later.) Come to Milan and discover more about data integration and processing, nodes for modeling, data analysis and visualization. Register for the course. If you are based in or near to Milan you might also be interested in joining our Italy KNIME Users.

London, UK. Charlottes here or there, THE event to attend on July 16 in London is the 1-day Hands-on Introduction to Data Mining with KNIME. This course is being held in Rocket Holborn in Central London and will cover the basics for data loading, integration, pre-processing, analysis and visualization with KNIME. Reserve your place.  Prepare yourself for the course by attending our UK KNIME Users meetup the day before on July 15, also in Rocket Holborn.

Boston, USA. Take a trip across the Atlantic to one of the oldest cities in the United States. We’re currently organizing a meetup here to take place in the second half of July. Rosaria Silipo from KNIME will be giving a talk on Big Data. If you have a case story you would like to present at this meetup, please contact us at events@knime.com. Find out more about Boston KNIME Users.

Sydney, Australia. Not quite the third dimension but we have just founded the first meetup group on the third continent. July sees the first KNIME meetup to be held down under kindly organized by Tom Park, an enthusiastic KNIME user, who is based in Sydney. Phil Winters will be presenting at this meetup and we will be announcing more details via the Sydney KNIME Users meetup group. If you are based in Sydney or the surrounding area, why not become a member of this meetup group.
